i’ve been tweeting and facebooking about a BARE Magazine event for the past 2 weeks but this is the last time for a few weeks that i’ll say anything about it:

my experience with bare has been a roller coaster, to say the least. i’ve met some of my best friends through bare magazine. i know we aren’t the most well-respected group on campus because people at berkeley tend to trivialize fashion and the people who care about it. but for me, it’s been the only way i’ve been able to stay sane. i’m proud to say that i’ve stayed true to myself during my time here at cal and because of bare, i was able to find people who were like me. i am not super politically active, i don’t have the passion to be, especially relative to most berkeley students. being in bare has taught me so much and i will never forget it. it’s just been such a rewarding experience, even when things feel stressful. i just am so happy that bare has been existence during my time at berkeley and i hope that it has become a better product with me on board. today was the culmination of my last full event/initiative with bare and it feels good to close that chapter but i am just so happy to have seen a side of bare tonight that really lives up to our mission statement.

we put together an amazing panel for our staff/audience/readers and i think they all took something away from it. idk, maybe it’s because i’ve had the longest day ever and i’m delirious but i just appreciate everyone on the bare staff and i definitely don’t think i’ll ever forget my experience with it.
